Who do we sell our passion to?

For a while, it’s been a common verdict to follow our passion and do what we really love to do. But at the end of the day, what matters is –
How much of what we have created is shipped?
What is the closing balance in our business account?
What value do we add to our customer by selling our passion?
What is the feedback/review on Facebook and twitter and amazon?
Or is there anything else on the other side of the fence added to these?

I think, YES!

The success rate of what we do (the one which we are passionate towards), depends upon to whom we target it to?

What audience have we selected to our product?

Are the “selected audience” satisfied with what we have delivered them?

Has our passionate service/product added value to their lives?

The question is not about what we create?
IT’S ABOUT, TO WHOM WE DELIVER IT!

We cannot expect our product to reach everyone in the globe. We can start with a small communion (a word I prefer over community).

We cannot expect everyone on Facebook and twitter and amazon to give a positive feedback on what we deliver. There will always be people who do not like what we do. The thing we need to focus is –

Whether our targeted audience are satisfied with what we sell.

If yes, we have done something meaningful. Extend it to new audience. Nice idea.
If no, change our audience. OR make a better product.

It’s that simple.
Now think! What are you doing with your passion lately?
